This Privacy Policy explains how findmycolor.app collects, uses, shares, stores, and deletes information when you use our website, request a color report, upload a selfie or outfit image, receive a magic-link email, or use related features.

Who this policy is for

This policy applies to findmycolor.app and the services available through the site. It refers to the site as “findmycolor.app,” “we,” “us,” and “our.” It does not name a legal entity because the final entity name is still being completed.

Information we collect

  • Email address, so we can verify you and send your private report link.
  • Selfies, outfit images, and related image data that you choose to upload.
  • Report preferences such as locale, occasion, style direction, selected plan, credits, and generated report details.
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser data, device data, request logs, security tokens, and local or session storage used to run the site.
  • Payment and transaction information if paid features are enabled. Full card details are handled by payment processors and are not stored by findmycolor.app.

How we use information

We use information to provide the site, verify email links, generate reports, display saved reports, manage credits or plans, prevent abuse, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations. We analyze visible features in an uploaded image only to estimate seasonal color direction and create the requested report. We do not use selfies to identify you, build a face-recognition profile, or train findmycolor.app models.

Selfies, AI processing, and training

Your selfie or outfit image is used to generate the report you requested. Pending uploads may be stored temporarily until the secure email link is opened or the session expires. Generated reports and report images may be stored so your private report link can reopen them. We do not sell your photos, share them for advertising, store them for model training, use them to identify you, or create a face-recognition profile.

To create reports, we may send your uploaded image, preferences, and prompt information to AI and infrastructure service providers, including OpenAI and, if enabled for routing, OpenRouter and its model providers. Those providers process data under their own terms, privacy policies, and data-processing controls. OpenAI’s API terms state that customer content is not used to develop or improve OpenAI services unless the customer explicitly agrees.

Reports are informational style outputs only. They are not used for employment, credit, housing, insurance, healthcare, legal, or other decisions that materially affect your rights or access to services.

Where data is processed

findmycolor.app is operated from the United States. Our servers and data processing are based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate the site, including hosting, email delivery, security checks, AI processing, payment processing, analytics or logging, and customer support. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and local storage

We use local storage, session storage, and similar browser technologies to remember your language, keep a report session available in your browser, and operate the site. If security verification is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile or a similar provider may process technical information to detect bots and abuse.

Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. Temporary report sessions expire automatically, currently after about 14 days. Generated reports, account records, credits, email records, and logs may be kept longer so we can provide saved report links, prevent abuse, support purchases, comply with law, and maintain the site. You can request deletion at any time.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can ask us to delete your personal information, report records, uploaded images, generated report images, or account data. Email hello@findmycolor.app from the address connected to your report and include “Data deletion request” in the subject. We may ask you to verify the request before deleting data. We may retain limited information if necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. We will respond to applicable privacy requests as required by law.

Children

findmycolor.app is not directed to children under 13. Do not upload information about a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including private report links and server-side controls. No online service is completely secure, so please use care when choosing what to upload.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site, providers, or legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and post the new version on this page.
